  • What Theoretical approach do you use?
    My approach is always customized to the needs of each client. I pull from a variety of evidence based practice and techniques. I’ve found that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, Client Centered Therapy, and Mindfulness techniques are often helpful for my clients.
  • Do you offer short term or long term therapy?
    I offer both, depending on your needs and goals. Short term therapy can help you address a problem, make a decision, or reach specified goals. It can improve your focus, consider multiple perspectives, and resolve any blocks to moving forward. Longer term therapy offers an opportunity that has a broader and deeper scope, going beyond a specific decision or goal. This approach supports personal and relational growth, healing from trauma, addiction and recovery, anxiety, depression, and developing sustainable progress by using new skills and tools to continue life changing progress.
  • How long are your sessions? Do you take insurance?
    My sessions are 55 minutes long. I offer longer sessions if needed. I do not take insurance.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    A minimum of 24 hrs is required for rescheduling or cancellation of an appointment. If a session is canceled in less than 24 hrs, the full fee will be charged.
  • What should I look for in a therapist?
    Research on therapy outcomes supports the idea that personal rapport between you and your therapist is extremely important. Make sure you stay in charge of your choice of therapist. How do you feel when speaking with them? Do you feel cared about and safe? Are you able to ask questions?
